We pride ourselves on providing customers flexible lending programs and a full range of savings products and related services. You can receive all of our services at any of our local branch offices throughout Greater Cleveland. These branches reflect our commitment to being a community bank, working to improve and maintain local housing in your town.

A long tradition of service

1920   It all began when a group of local merchants and businessmen joined to form a community Building and Loan Association at the corner of East 93rd Street and Kinsman Avenue. Because it was near the entrance to Woodland Hills Park, they selected the name Park View Savings and Loan Association.1921   A year later, with the help of the entire community, a sale of stock was completed and the new institution opened its doors in 1921. The Board of Directors selected N.C. Male, a member of the community, as manager. Over the next 88 years, the managing officer has been a member of the Male family.1936   The onset of the Great Depression in the early 1930s resulted in the failure of many banks and savings and loans, but Park View Savings remained solvent. In 1936, it was granted Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) coverage of its savings accounts up to the maximum of $5,000.00 per account. Following the Great Depression, Park View Savings experienced a period of growth and expansion through World War II and the postwar era.

1950   On the Directors recommendation, stockholders redeemed the firms’ stock, and we became a federal mutual and loan and changed our name to Park View Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland, Ohio. Over the next 42 years, it continued to operate as a mutual savings institution, serving the local community and its residents with distinction.

1992   Park View Federal completed the sale of $8,500,000 of capital stock to customers, officers, directors and members of the local community. Thus, it began a new life as Park View Federal Savings Bank, a publicly-traded stock company committed to helping the community grow and prosper.

1994   After shareholder approval, Park View Federal Savings Bank reorganized its corporate structure into PVF Capital Corp., a unitary savings and loan holding company.

2001   Accelerated growth spurred the need to consolidate corporate operations under one roof. Our new 55,000 square foot Corporate Center, located in Solon, was opened, serving as headquarters for management and staff of Park View Federal. The Corporate Center is also home to a full-service, state-of-the-art branch.
